Borrowing the name of the Hungarian-American escape artist and illusionist, this piece attempts to emulate jazz of a bygone era, while stubbornly foregoing any traditional forms or rules of the genre. Rather than a series of solos, horns and violin play a harmonized melody featuring Jon Chaif's flugelhorn before the band returns to familiar yet altered territory for the conclusion.
